March 11

5:29pm – Loud long-lost friends talking over my noise cancelling headphones. To be determined how this compares to my morning commute when the woman next to me brushed her hair again, and the driver tried to tell everyone their tickets were invalid.

March 8

7:40am – Manage to sit in front a of seat pusher who also keeps giggling to himself. He calms down and I’m almost in my bus nap when the woman behind him starts yelling into her cell phone. It’s amazing how quickly people forget their manners on the bus.

March 7

7:12am – Awesome commute two days ago – two seats on the way in. On the back, I managed to read a little without getting carsick. Bus naps both ways!

This morning, stuck in a seat that won’t recline. Not sure why we have to ride broken busses.

Day Off: Restaurant Review: Harold’s New York Deli

Last weekend I got to enjoy a trip to Harold’s New York Deli! Have you been to Harold’s? There are a few with similar names, but this Harold’s is the only Harold’s. It is in Edison, NJ, and I after I learned about it on Man vs. Food, it quickly became a favorite!

Portions at Harold’s are seriously huge! Sandwiches come by the pound, and everything is meant for sharing (or leftovers!). There were five of us at brunch, and the waiter wisely told us not to order extra bacon, that the amount on one blt would be enough for sides for all! He was right. Most of the group ordered French toast, and one of us got the chocolate chip pancake. Harold’s pancakes come as single pancakes, and thank goodness since they are the size of a pizza! For dessert, someone got a rainbow sprinkle cookie to share. The cookies are a whopping seven ounces and delicious. Personally, I think it’s important to judge a diner by their sprinkle cookies, and Harold’s passed with flying colors! I definitely recommend a trip to Harold’s!

What do you like to do on your days off?

February 21

Day Two, commuting after vacation should not be this stressful.

Morning commute, left my house at 7:00am and got to work at 8:45. Two disabled busses in the bus lane, thankfully I wasn’t on one.

Afternoon commute, tbd. On the 7:30pm bus alarmingly full. Had to sprint to make t in full winter clothes, and now sitting muttering at people seated incorrectly. Wish me luck!
